How to Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account for OpportunityZones.com and our mobile app, OpportunityZones.com in the App Store and Google Play (shown on your device as OppZones). The app and website are operated by Kingsbury Media LLC, doing business as OpportunityZones.com. One account works on both, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.

Three ways to delete your account

1. In the app. Open the app, tap the account button, then Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
2. On our website. Sign in at opportunityzones.com/account, choose Delete your account, and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
3. By email, without signing in. Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account." We will confirm that the request came from that address, delete your account, and reply to confirm, within 45 days and usually much sooner. If you signed in with Apple using "Hide My Email," write from any address and include the relay address shown in the app on your account screen (it ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com); we will confirm the request by writing to that relay address.

If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop using Sign in with Apple with our app in your Apple Account settings (Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple). That disconnects our app from your Apple Account but does not delete your account or your data, so use one of the three ways above to delete it.

What we delete

Your account and sign-in methods, your profile and the answers you gave us, your saved tracts, listings, and searches, your calculator scenarios and the gains you entered, your event registrations on your record, and our records of which sponsors you asked us to share your details with.

What we keep, and why

• A one-way coded version of your email address (not the address itself), kept indefinitely so that we do not re-add the information you deleted.
• Copies of forms you submitted, such as event registrations and marketplace inquiries, with the IP address and browser details recorded with them, and records of investor document downloads. We keep these as records of what we delivered to sponsors and to detect spam, fraud, and abuse. If you want them deleted too, say so in your email and we will delete them or tell you why we need to keep them.
• Your newsletter subscription, until you unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.
• Information already delivered to sponsors, such as an inquiry you sent or an event registration. Sponsors hold it under their own privacy policies; you can ask them directly to delete it.

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account

You can remove saved tracts, listings, and searches, and edit or clear your profile details, at any time in the app or on your account page. To ask us to delete other specific information without closing your account, email [email protected].
